Guitarist and composer <span data-scayt_word="Albare" data-scaytid="2">Albare</span> (pronounced Al Bear) is back in Australia now where he will heavily promote his newest CD, an excellent sextet production recorded very recently in New York. The ensemble is <span data-scayt_word="iTD" data-scaytid="3">iTD</span> (International Travel Diary) and it's a "tribute to the human spirit of adventure. There are African, Middle-Eastern and South-European <span data-scayt_word="flavours" data-scaytid="4">flavours</span> here, diverse sounds, melodies and rhythms. All interwoven and fused with the Jazz <span data-scayt_word="heritage.”" data-scaytid="1">heritage."</span><br /> <br /> <span data-scayt_word="Albare" data-scaytid="6">Albare</span> (aka Albert <span data-scayt_word="Dadon" data-scaytid="14">Dadon</span>) was born in Morocco, came to Israel at age 5 where lived for several years until at age 10 the family relocated to Lyon, France from where he emigrated to Australia at age 27. He started playing the guitar with eight years, in Australia he first <span data-scayt_word="nade" data-scaytid="15">nade</span> his name as a pioneer of acid jazz. Today he performs and records worldwide under the name <span data-scayt_word="Albare" data-scaytid="7">Albare</span>. He has a manifold relationship with jazz: invited the Umbria Jazz Festival (Italy) three times to Melbourne, is friends with Sonny Rollins and was tight with Ray Brown. In 2011 Matthias <span data-scayt_word="Winckelmann" data-scaytid="16">Winckelmann</span> met with <span data-scayt_word="Albare" data-scaytid="8">Albare</span> in Corsica, they discussed a top production in New York with hand picked musicians, <span data-scayt_word="Albare" data-scaytid="9">Albare</span> and <span data-scayt_word="Evri" data-scaytid="17">Evri</span> wrote the music, the project was produced in January 2012 and a surprising, truly rewarding album saw the light of day.<br /> <br />
