The portfolio of the Japanese jazz label 'Venus Records' includes recordings of the great 'New York Trio'. The piano is played by Bill Charlap, who is considered to be one of the best jazz pianists of his generation. Together with Jay Leonhart on bass and Bill Stewart on drums they play in a harmonic trio. The repertoire consists of popular songs by Cole Porter.
