<br><br>This is a very recent recording of one of Mozart’s early operas. For this work, 11 year old (!) Mozart used a story from Ovid’s Metamorphoses. The text by Father Widl is in Latin.<br /> <br /> A delightful piece which is testimony of Mozart’s early maturity. Of course it is outranked by far by his later operas and probably therefore rarely heard.<br /> <br /> Inspired performances by the European Chamber Soloists and a selection of talented young singers under Nicol Matt.<br /> <br />
