'Pretzel Logic' entered the Billboard 200 in late March 1974, reaching #8, and later landed at #385 on Rolling Stone's Top 500 chart for 2003. The album was produced by Gary Katz, as usual, and featured another selection of intelligent rock compositions by Walter Becker and Donald Fagen, including favorites like 'Night By Night' and 'Barrytown'.

The reissue of the album as an Ultra High Quality Record at 45 RPM, pressed on transparent 200 gram vinyl, is produced with attention to detail. The LP was mastered by legendary sound engineer Bernie Grundman. The release is limited to 20,000 numbered copies.
